Tele-Support HelpDesk Hot Tips

Problem:

Helpdesk compatibility with Windows XP.

Resolution:

Right-click on desktop and select Properties.  Select the Compatibility tab.  Select the "Disable visual themes" checkbox.

Make sure you have applied all the latest Window Drivers and Updates, including MDAC.

When you have multiple user profiles on the same workstation, you MUST install the client as the XP Administrator.  Other users will be able to access HelpDesk without having to install client for each user.

Currently, with the Evaluation, you must have ADMIN rights to install and all users must have ADMIN rights.  This only effects the Evaluation.
