What command line parameters does the HelpDesk2.exe application (the application that is launched from your HelpDesk desktop icon) support?

Answer:

Please note that command line parameters must be added to the Target property of a shortcut file.  For more information regarding shortcuts, consult your Windows help file.

• U - HelpDesk User ID
• P - HelpDesk users' password
• T[on/off] - Toggles Terminal Services mode (e.g. /Ton)
• H - Information regarding command line parameters

For all command line parameters, prepend a forward slash and do not leave any spaces between the paramter and its value.  For example, using the User ID parameter for a HelpDesk user named John, the Target property would contain something like the following (depending on where your HelpDesk client is installed):

C:\HelpDesk\HelpDesk2.exe /UJohn
