Question:

Can I evaluate HelpDesk version 2.2 even though I am running a licensed version of HelpDesk 2.1?

Answer:

You can evaluate version 2.2 and still run a licensed copy of HelpDesk 2.1; however, please note the following when doing so:

- Although you may install the 2.2 server wherever you like, make sure you do not install it in the same directory as your 2.1 server.  We recommend that you install the 2.2 server on a different machine to avoid confusion.

- You should not run a HelpDesk 2.2 client on the same machine as a HelpDesk 2.1 client.  If you install a 2.2 client that has a 2.1 client, the 2.1 client will no longer connect to the correct server.  The only way to run both a 2.1 and a 2.2 client on the same machine is to uninstall the current version and install the version you would like to use.
