Question:
I already have Tele-Support HelpDesk version 2.2 installed, how can I apply a new license to HelpDesk 2.2?
Answer:
- Navigate to your HelpDesk server directory (i.e. where your HelpDesk.mdb is located).
- Unzip the HDActivate.zip file into that directory.
- Copy the HDLicense.cab file (that you received by e-mail) into the server directory also. Windows XP: Make sure that you do not unpack the contents of this cab file. It should reside in the directory as 'HDLicense.cab'
- Run the HDActivate.exe file and you should receive a message that your application has been registered.
- Run one of your HelpDesk clients.
- You may delete the HDActive.exe file if you wish.
Note: When initially running your HelpDesk client, you may receive an error message alluding to a concurrent user limit reached. If so, please run the application a second time. This is normal behavior when the client runs for the first time.
