Workstation Display Evaluation

Question:

Have a licensed version of Tele-Support HelpDesk and one workstation is still displaying "evaluation" version.

Answer:

If this is isolated to one or few workstations, while others are working correctly, then the issue is more then likely a rights issue or incorrect connectivity to the HelpDesk server.  There are several things to check

  • Make sure this workstation and USER has full access rights across the network to read/write/edit to the HelpDesk Server Folder
  • Install HDClient again
  • Be sure that the shortcut for HelpDesk2.exe is correct
  • Launch HelpDesk2.exe from the program files instead of the short cut
  • Copy the TSHD32.exe from a working workstation over to the one not working.
  • Check the Reg Keys for Local Machine and be sure the localdir and serverdir are correct
  • Check the ODBC setting for HelpDesk and be sure you have the correct path

If the above are correct and still displays evaluation for registered copy, then delete the RegKeys for Resource Dynamics and the ODBC HelpDesk settings and run the HDClient again.

Should you need further assistance, please contact our support team.  Please have your serial number available when calling, this will be required to verify your support coverage.
