Tele-Support HelpDesk Hot Tips

Question:

When attempting to send email through HelpDesk, I receive a message "MAPI SendMail Fucntion Failed"  or  "MAPI General Failure Errorcode = "x"

Answer:

This is not an issue with HelpDesk but with your default MAPI client on the workstation.  The quickest way to resolve the issue, is to reinstall your MAPI client and be sure to select as your default MAPI.

Tele-Support HelpDesk does not have any internal email settings.  We simply locate the workstations default MAPI and hand off the email for MAPI to process and send.
