Question:
I want to run HelpDesk as a Stand Alone and would like to Import contact data?

Instructions for Importing a CSV file to ACCESS - to a Stand Alone HelpDesk.mdb
Open HelpDesk.mdb in ACCESS
1. click on File
2. get external data - import
3. locate the file to import & click import
4. select delimited
5. click next
6. choose delimiter type as comma
7. click next
8. select in existing table and select "contacts" from the list box
9. click next
10. Import to table "contact"
11. click ADVANCE and define fields by clicking on field name

Click OK - Finish - Open the Contacts Table - You should see your contact data.
NOTE....Access does have a size limit and will depend on your version of MDAC (MSJet Engine). Make sure ALL workstations are runningt he same version of MDAC if you add adiditonal fields & tables.
