How do I setup remote users for HelpDesk:
Answer:
TeleSupport HelpDesk does not have the capibility to data sync. Until we complete our web module for remote users the following options are:
- Connect to the main server via Microsoft's Terminal Server
- Connect to the main location onto a workstation via PC Anywhere through dial up or using TCP/IP over the internet or similar product.
- Connect via Citrix Terminal
- VPN
- Remote Desktop (when host computer is running XP) - remote computers can be 98 or 2K by installing the Remote Desk Top from an XP install disk
The most common connection currently is PC Anywhere and Terminal Server.
Note...When remote access is being used, there MUST be an available hdclient that can be accessed and used locally.
There are many FREEware applications available on the internet. Using the Google.com search for FREE Remote Software is a good start. Here is a few sites that we found. http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc or http://www.realvnc.com/download.html
