Email Compatibility

Question:

What E-mail packages are compatible to HelpDesk?

 

Answer:

Currently in version 2.0 & 2.1, we are compatible to:

           Eudora - Out Look or any True MAPI Email 

 

Netscape users - will be able to use the Internal Email in TeleSupport HelpDesk when released in version 3.0

 

OutLook Express users - NOT Compatible at all unless the user has installed the MicroSoft Office.

 

Lotus Notes users - Need to modify Lotus Notes to work w/ MS Exchange or MS Outlook (not OutLook express).

 

If you try to send an email through HelpDesk and get a message "MAPI SendMail Failed", its because you do not have a default MAPI Client set or your Email application is installed incorrectly.  Support for Email applications are not supported by Resource Dynamics.  Please refer to the makers of Email application on how to set a default MAPI.

2.0 / 2.1

 

version 2.2 is also compatible with OutLook XP.  

 

NOTE.... Later version's of Outlook with added security may prevent Email's from being automatically sent.
