How To Setup Contract Tracking

Tech Tip:

 

Setting up Contract Tracking for ACT!, Goldmine or TeleMagic?

 

This information is also located in the System Admin Guide.

 

Options - Settings - Contract Tracking

Select Use Contract Tracking

Select Type of Contract you wish to track 

Options - Settings - Time File Controls

Select Use Time Billing module

 

For Dynamic:

Fields to map from CM are:

Start Date - End Date - Date Last Updated - Contract Active - Amount Purchased - Amount Used - Balance - Contract Type.

 

All the above fields must first be added to your CM and contain valid data.  Contract Active field must have the letter Y and Contract Type must have the letter F for Fixed or I for Incident or M for Minutes.  

 

IMPORTANT: Also Amount purchased and balance when first starting must have a value other then "zero", if you only enter a purchased amount and leave balance at 0, you will receive negative amount.

 

For Minutes or Incidents:

Fields to map from CM are:

Start Date - End Date - Date Last Updated - Contract Active - Amount Purchased - Amount Used - Balance 

 

All the above fields must firest be added to your CM and contain valid data.  Contract Active field must have the letter Y

 

IMPORTANT: Also Amount purchased and balance when first starting must have a value other then "zero."  If you only enter a purchased amount and leave the balance at 0, you will receive negative amount.

 

For Fixed:

Fields to map from CM are:

Start Date - End Date - Contract Active

 

All the above fields must first be added to your CM and contain valid data.  Contract Active field must have the letter Y
