HelpDesk loses connection to the database

HelpDesk Looses Connection to the Database

after sitting idle for a few hours:

HelpDesk does not have any automated features to take the application into Standby or Hybernate.

First check the local Power Settings for the System and be sure they are set to 'never'.  If the System is set to Standby or Hybernate, this WILL cause the disconnection and may not reconnect when the System comes back.  This is accessed through your desk top properties.  You should also check your Server location where HelpDesk.mdb is located for the same senior.

Other things to look for:

     Network collissions also cause disconnections.

Back ground applications running and using up memory.  See related Hot Tip on Performance Maintenance.
