Registry Keys

Question:

How can I add/modify values to registry keys in my registry?

Pertinent Information:

  • The registry is structured in a manner that is similar to directories on disk.  Each root level key can contain sub keys in the same way a directory would contain subdirectories.
  • Values are listed on the right side of the RedEdit application while keys are listed on the left.  Keys can contain other keys and values; values will contain either string or binary data.

·

Answer:

1.  Select 'Run' from the Start menu.

2.  Type in 'Regedit' and select Ok.

3.  Find the key you would like to modify.

4.  Right click and add the specific type of value.

5.  Name the value.

6.  Right click on the value and select the applicable operation.
