Ordinal 52 in WSOCK32.dll can't find

Problem:

Cannot find ordinal 52 in wsock32.dll

Resolution:

A new product was installed and wsock32.dll was downgraded or the file has been corrupted, deleted, or renamed.  There is a virus that renames wsock32.dll to wsock32.mtx. If you find wsock32.mtx on your system, you have probably been infected. More information about the virsus and a patch to fix it can be obtained at <http://www-cu.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w95.mtx.html>.If you don't find wsock32.mtx and have a PC with the same operating system that no new software was installed on, you can locate and copy the file. If you have the Windows 2000 source disks, you can run SFC /SCANNOW. This scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.  Windows 98 machines can use the System File Checker that is found on Tools menu of the System Information program (Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information.)  Click on the "Extract one file from installation disk " option to reinstall the file.
